  1. Uncanny resemblance – well captured. 😉

  2. Beautiful! The more you look at nature the more it resembles facets of ourselves. After all, we are entwined. 🙂

    1. People often forget that we are nature. Thank you.

  3. What an evocative flower. It makes me imagine perfect 1940’s lipstick, or a red silk kimono, or… a hundred far away things.

    1. I thought of red silk as well.

  4. Poppies? My wife’s favorite. Send some of that heat to the other side of the equator, minus 3 F this morning.

    1. It was just a random flower in my garden so I’m not sure what it is:) That’s cold but soon it will be spring for you.

  5. Beautiful red poppy… It reminds me of the artist Georgia O’Keeffe and her 1927 painting:http://marygilmartin.wordpress.com/2012/11/11/art-georgia-okeeffe-1887-1985/

    1. Thanks Mary, I wasn’t sure what type of flower it was. Wonderful painting:)

  6. that’s so sensuous

    1. It is, Thank you:)

  7. I’m so glad I saw this! We bought our first home a year ago, and we discovered over the summer that our yard contains over 50 different types of flowers! I have a pink poppy in the garden, but I didn’t know what it was until I saw this post. It was one of the few I hadn’t identified, and it was driving me crazy. Great picture! (Because of some severe weather, my poppies never quite flowered right last summer.)

  8. Just beautiful, Vit. No exaggerations… 🙂

    1. Thank you Sreejiith.
